Is Your Life Going to the Dogs?

According to the American Pet Association, close to 68 million Americans own a dog. Whether for protection or companionship, a dog seems to be a natural part of many families. A well-trained, good-tempered dog can be an asset to anyone's peace of mind, property and it's been said that being around pets lowers an individual's stress levels.

But what if your dog is not so well-trained or good-tempered?

What if your dog acts out constantly, behaves poorly, snaps, bites, threatens and barks atyour family, your children, your neighbors and guests? Your stress levels are bound to increase!

You become a social outcast with your friends and neighbors as noone wants to come and visit anymore. You worry about your own safety and your childrens in the event the dog might turn on you unexpectedly. Not to mention the possible legal trouble you could get in if your dog bites someone, destroys another's property or continually howls and barks!

Such a situation is definitely worriesome and could cost you thousands in legal fees, stressand time taken away from more important things! Like enjoying the good life!

So, who do you blame? The dog? Certainly not the dog. You fell in love with this dog and took him into your home. Healthy dogs only respond to the environment, experiences and people they've been around.

If you don't know precisely how to train your dog, have tried different methods which didn't work or have had the goodness to adopt an older dog - you may need help. You can't control the influence of the people who owned or interacted with the dog before but you can re-educateyourself and the dog to live a happier, more contented life.

How?

A friend told me about a new method of dog obedience developed by a trainer named Adam Katz.

My neighbor had a noisy, vicious little Dachshund. Now you wouldn't think that a dog as small as a Dachshund could be a problem but this small weiner dog was a handful of trouble! He would bark at all hours of the night, never sit still, pull at the leash and dig up the garden. Mr. Frankenfurter was out of control!

Adam Katz's method is amazing! With Adam's easy to understand program owners and dogs come to a new understanding between pet and person.

For the price of a family dinner, you could transform your dog into a polite dog instead of one that's mooching off the table.

Part of living your life the way you want to live it means getting rid of the stress elements in your life. This simple effective program could be the solution you and your dog are looking for!

Don't Put All Your Eggs in One Basket

Like it or not times have changed.

The working world that our parents and grandparents once knew no longer exists. There was a time in recent history where people were ashamed to change employers, where employers were expected to take care of their employees - for life.

No longer. Many of us saw the change over a decade ago when Personnel offices turned into Human Resource offices. Workers stopped being people and started being disposable, expendable resources.

Pensions became 401ks and the responsibility for managing our own financial future was thrown in many unsuspecting workers laps. The sad truth of the matter is that many workers are still living in the dream world of 30 or 40 years ago. They still trust the employer or the corporation to do what's best for the employee.

Many of us know it doesn't happen that way. We have to look out for ourselves.

No longer can we idly trust the corporation we work for to do things in our best interests. They work for their own best interests and we must fend for ourselves.

For many of us that means careful consideration of our investing and our finances. For a large percentage of us that might mean having two or even three jobs. "Uniquely American" it was called.

What's really happening is that the work world is shifting between the old and the new and this generation of workers is caught in the middle.

Other countries are suffering less than we Americans because either they have social policies that truly do take care of most people's needs or their society is geared towards everyone being trained to hang out their own shingle and have their own business.

It's been said that "nobody gets rich working for someone else". I believe that's true.

You can work with someone else and get rich but you'll never get rich working for someone else.

Working for yourself and designing your own life doesn't need to be a huge all-out immediate risk. You can develop a slower, more methodical and more logical plan to achieve your dreams.
